• 1. Right to Refund & Returns
  • A. Legal Framework
  • * For private sales, buyers typically rely on the principle of caveat emptor (buyer beware), unless misrepresentation is involved .
  • * For trader-to-consumer sales (e.g., GallopyMart as a business), buyers may have a 14‑day right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations or equivalent local law), starting from when ownership is transferred.
  • * Buyers may also have rights under the Consumer Rights Act  if the horse does not match its description, is faulty, or unsatisfactory—in which case they can reject the horse within 30 days  and demand a full refund.
  • B. GallopyMart’s Policy
  • Cancel within 14 days of delivery/pick-up for any reason (if purchased unseen).
  • Return within 30 days if the horse fails to meet the description or is unfit for purpose, subject to vet or independent expert review.
  • 2. Returning or Cancelling
  • A. Change‑of‑Mind Returns
  • * Notify us within 14 days of delivery.
  • * Buyer arranges safe transportation back at their own expense (unless otherwise agreed).
  • B. Returns Due to Misrepresentation or Fitness Issues
  • * Notify within  30 days  and provide evidence from a licensed vet or equine expert.
  • * GallopyMart will cover reasonable return transport costs.
  • * Full refund once horse is safely returned and cleared by a vet.
  • C. Requesting a Refund
  • Submit a written request via email:
  • * Purchase date, invoice number, and reason.
  • * Veterinary or inspection report (if applicable).
  •   We typically refund within 14 days after verifying eligibility & receiving the horse.
  • 3. Exceptions & Other Conditions
  • As-Is’ Sales:  Fully disclosed ‘as-is’ sales without implied warranties outside our policy are excluded.
  • Late Returns:  Returns made after the 14‑/30‑day window may incur restocking fees or be refused.
  • Refund Rights on Private Sales: Private sales may not qualify under buyer’s statutory refund rights; success depends on issues like misrepresentation.
  •  4. Dispute Resolution
  • * All refund or returns issues will be examined fairly, with the aid of veterinary or equine experts.
  • * If rejected, the buyer will receive a refund or explanation within 14 days.
  •  5. Important Buyer Reminders
  • * Obtain a Pre-Purchase Vet Exam (PPE) before completing any sale—this is your best safeguard.
  • * Always receive full documentation: age, health records, training, temperament.
  • * For “fit for purpose” claims, ensure you clearly communicated your intended use (e.g., trail-riding, dressage).
  • 6. How to Initiate a Return
  • 1. Contact support at returns@gallopymart.com .
  • 2. Provide invoice details and reason for return.
  • 3. Arrange inspection (if needed).
